
It struck me recently that in the past, my working day was much more about adherence to frameworks, my perception is that these frameworks, standards and concepts are not as integral to what we do.
Don’t get me wrong, being able to speak at length on a specific modelling approach, data governance framework or method for defining enterprise architectures was part of my consulting life, I liked having these frameworks in my back pocket to call on, so why would you want to reinvent all the content written to underpin them?
I decided to see if there was any evidence to support my perception. The following is a comparison based on data sourced from Google Trends. Please note that I am comparing “apples and oranges”, what has influenced my inclusion is:
